Although a dull shot, this picture is history making! For the first time in about 20 (?) years a 9-car formation of red EE units worked from Wellington to Taita on 19.4.2006. The 7.05am from Wellington arrives at Taita headed by the restored Dm556 set, followed by Dm504 and Dm527. |
28.4.2006 was the second occasion that a 9-car red set was in service. Dm556, 504 and 527 pause at Petone with 7.45am Taita to Wellington service. |
